Ventura bulb and fin seals offer cost effective draught proofing which is suitable for new joinery and improving existing doors or windows. Manufactured from silicone rubber, they are fixed to non-porous surfaces with pressure-sensitive adhesive backing which offers a 'light tack' initially (for adjustment during fixing) and sets to a high peel strength in approximately 24 hours. Timber surfaces should be painted, laquered or varnished and the seals should be applied to clean, dry surfaces in temperatures between 10 and 38 degrees C. These seals are suitable for use in operating temperatures between -10 and +38 degrees C. They have also been tested and approved to BS 476: Part 31.1.
